A panicked driver caused an 11-car pileup\u2014the kind normally reserved for highway tailgaters\u2014at the Lakeshore General Hospital parking lot, Feb. 16. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t rage,\u201d Const. H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Jubinville of Montreal Police Station 5 told The Suburban. <\/i>\u201cThe lady was stressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt 11:37 a.m., when she approached the kiosk at the gate to the parking lot, someone honked at her,\u201d she said in an interview. \u201cShe thought that her vehicle transmission was in park, but it went forward and subsequently struck 11 cars.\u201d <\/p>\n

Const. Jubinville said that the woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to her leg. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo one in any of the other vehicles was hurt,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n

Police are treating the collisions as an accident. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo charges were laid,\u201d Const. Jubinville concluded.<\/p>\n
