\u201cAt 8 p.m., the two kids saw two young men trying to enter their house through a patio door and ran to separate hiding spots,\u201d he recounted. \u201cThe older one grabbed a cordless phone and called 911 and stayed online with the 911 operator.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cThe operator asked him ‘Where is your little brother?’\u201d Const. di Genova continued. \u201c’I have no idea’ was the whispered reply.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cPolice cars were dispatched and arrested two 16-year-old suspects. As minors, they will face justice at Laval youth court.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cThe mother returned soon afterward,\u201d he concluded. \u201cThe kids are fine, just a little shaken up by the experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

After receiving a complaint about unsavory individuals coming and going at odd hours, Laval’s drug and morality squad began to investigate a residence located at 75 Bellerose. <\/p>\n
On Nov. 20, they obtained a warrant, and searched the premises. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey found 743 marijuana plants one to three feet tall, worth $74,000 as well as another 495 plants up to one foot tall,\u201d reported Const. di Genova, \u201cas well as growing lights and hydroponic equipment.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cEverything was seized and detectives have questioned the owner of the house.\u201d <\/p>\n

\nOn Nov. 24, a 48-year-old man lost control of his car near 42 Concorde West in Laval, crashing into two parked cars. <\/p>\n
\u201cNo one was in the parked cars,\u201d reassured Const. di Genova. \u201cThe driver was taken to hospital and treated for nose and leg fractures as well as cranial contusions. Investigators believe that the man might have had a seizure and will follow up with physicians.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n
