It will be a good idea to avoid Cartier where the boulevard crosses highway 15 this weekend, Laval police advise. <\/p>\n

\u201cTransport Quebec plans to progressively shut down the highway from 9 p.m. onward, April 6,\u201d Const. Franco di Genova told The Suburban.<\/i> \u201cAs of 11 p.m., it will be completely closed, to permit repairs to the Cartier overpass.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cVehicles traveling eastbound on Cartier won\u2019t be affected, but westbound traffic will be diverted along Clermont, L\u00e9vesque and Micro streets while work is underway,\u201d he explained. \u201cPolice will be on hand to monitor traffic control, and we\u2019re asking motorists to show patience during the detour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Repairs to the westbound side of the overpass will be conducted during a second phase, he said, at a date that remains to be determined.<\/p>\n

Shots fired<\/b><\/p>\n

Police are looking for two men and a woman after an incident at 4765 L\u00e9vesque West, March 27.<\/p>\n

\u201cA woman rang the doorbell to the apartment at around 11:30 p.m.,\u201d recounted Const. di Genova. \u201cWhen the victims opened the door, she and two other gentlemen entered.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOne carried a handgun and another, a rifle,\u201d he continued. \u201cAt some point during a discussion between all parties, a shot was fired. At that point, one of the men and the woman left the premises, leaving the two victims and the remaining suspect in the apartment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA fight ensued, and the last suspect fled the apartment running,\u201d Const. di Genova said. \u201cThe victims suffered superficial wounds and are cooperating with the investigation.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are not known to police,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Survives stabbing <\/b>
\n
<\/b>
\nA 23-year-old black man was attacked while leaving the \u00c9nergie Cardio gym, across the street from Laval\u2019s criminal courthouse, March 22. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim left the gym at around 12:50 p.m., after training with two buddies,\u201d recounted Const. di Genova. \u201cHe was stabbed in the abdomen while heading toward his vehicle, but managed to make his way back into the gym, where police and ambulance were called.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cUrgences Sant\u00e9 transported him to hospital, and his life is not in danger,\u201d he added. \u201cHowever, he is known to us, and not really cooperating with investigators.\u201d <\/p>\n

Gosselin burgled\u2013again <\/b><\/p>\n

Thieves grabbed more than $30,000 in high-end cameras and photographic equipment, after they broke in to Gosselin Photo, March 25.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice received a call from the alarm company at around 1 a.m.,\u201d said Const. di Genova.<\/p>\n

This is the second burglary in two weeks at the camera store, located at 1637 le Corbusier.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the previous break-in, some $75,000 worth of photographic equipment was stolen,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

Teen fight draws blood<\/b><\/p>\n

Violence erupted during a squabble between two groups of male youths, March 27, near St. Martin High School in Chomedey. <\/p>\n

\u201cDuring an altercation at 4135 Louis Payette, around 12:55 p.m., one young man was stabbed in the leg,\u201d said Const. di Genova. \u201cHe was taken by Urgences Sant\u00e9 to hospital, treated and released. He is cooperating with detectives.\u201d<\/p>\n
