The city has invited residents who are passionate about gardening to participate in Laval’s beautification contest.<\/p>\n

The competition aims to highlight the work of citizens who strive to beautify their surroundings.<\/p>\n

Be it flower boxes, water gardens, flower beds filled with blooms, the beautification competition includes every type of landscaping.<\/p>\n

It has three categories: residential, professional and institutions, businesses and industries.<\/p>\n

From July 22-August 23, entrants will be visited by a panel of judges composed of horticulture experts. The winners will be crowned this fall, and the winners unveiled in October on the city’s website.<\/p>\n

The winners will share more than 20 prizes, worth a total of $2,000. The awards will be presented in the form of gift cards for horticultural and local products. <\/p>\n

To enter the contest, residents must complete the entry form available in the environment section of the city’s website www.ville.laval.qc.ca before July 19, 2013.<\/p>\n
