The City of Montreal sent 96 public advisories in July and the first week of August. <\/p>\n

Several were legal notices to inform the population about demolitions or projects that require citizen approval to break current soning bylaws. <\/p>\n

They included the following projects:<\/p>\n

Monday, August 12: Building at the corner of Concorde and Burke <\/b>
On Monday, August 12, the borough of Ville Marie plans to hold a register for citizens who want a public referendum to ask for approval of a commercial and residential mixed-use building on the corner of Concorde and Burke.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nIf 454 people living, working or owning buildings within zone 9 sign the register, the borough will have to hold a public referendum to determine whether the project can go ahead in its current form.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nZone 9 includes all of the buildings south of Sherbrooke, north of de Maisonneuve, east of Drummond and west of Bleury as well as several north of St. Catherine. <\/p>\n

The register will be held from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. in the council hall on the ground floor at 800 de Maisonneuve East. For more information about the project, which falls under file number 1136090015, visit the Acc\u00e8s Montreal<\/i> office at the same address, but on the 17th floor.<\/div>\n

\nNotice of this register took place on August 3. <\/p>\n

Tuesday, September 3: building conversions into condos <\/b>
Several boroughs plan to allow the conversion of various buildings into divided properties (condos), despite the city-wide ban. All the approvals will take place on Tuesday, September 3.<\/div>\n

\nC\u00f4te des Neiges\u2013Notre Dame de Gr\u00e2ce plans to approve the conversion of 4624-4626 Marcil and 5592-5594 McLynn at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 3 at 7 p.m. <\/p>\n

Verdun plans to discuss the conversion of 4829-4833 Lasalle at a council meeting in room 205 on Tuesday, September 3, at 6 p.m. <\/p>\n

Villeray\u2013Saint Michel\u2013Parc Extension plans to approve the conversion of 7974-7978 Saint Denis, lot 3,454,127 at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 3, at 7 p.m. <\/p><\/div>\n
