One such free search engine is Gironde Entraide G\u00e9n\u00e9alogique<\/i><\/a> \u2013 a genealogical search engine, free to anyone, which was organized by Pierre Moreau a few years back and with the help of more than 210 volunteer researchers or small regional genealogy societies.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe latter did not have the necessary financing or the webmasters capable of programming and carrying out the maintenance of their own search engines. This web site is easily searchable with parish and civil registers going back to 1596. Other categories are also offered within this search engine.<\/p>\n
