Unfortunately the Archives de Charente have decided to offer the digitized portion of their collection of fonds only to those only who visit the premises of this important repository.<\/p>\n

Important to researchers in North America, for a good number of French Canadian and Acadian families originated from Charente.<\/p>\n

Every six months I will be reviewing this dossier and report on the issue of online searches for free. For a great number of researchers in France are demanding an online solution from this archives.<\/p>\n
