While Dollard des Ormeaux Mayor Ed Janiszewski and Councillors Errol Johnson, Peter Prassas and Alex Bottausci were acclaimed, all of Dollard des Ormeaux’ other incumbent councillors were awarded another mandate by the electorate.<\/p>\n

District 1 Councillor Zoe Bayouk collected 56 percent of the votes in her district, beating out challengers Laurence Parent and Stephen Leighton. Max Mickey Guttman defeated Erwin Schwartz, who ran unsuccessfully in 2009, by 182 votes to retain his seat.<\/p>\n

Herbert Brownstein, of District 4, beat challengers Catherine Thomas and Samuel Galet with 70 percent of constituents voting for him.<\/p>\n

Morris Vesely beat Sean Cohen to retain District 6 while Collete Gauthier won again in sector eight, beating challenger Simon Sadeh 834 votes to 411.<\/p><\/div>\n
