Presumably, both need them approved by Montreal\u2019s executive council before Montreal city council meets on Jan. 27.<\/p>\n<p>LaSalle\u2019s first meeting of the year takes place on Monday,&nbsp;Jan.&nbsp;13 at 7:30 p.m. Verdun has notified citizens that it will adopt its service taxes at an second extraordinary meeting on Thursday,&nbsp;Jan.&nbsp;21 at 7 p.m.  It\u2019s first meeting takes place on Feb. 4.<\/p>\n<p>LaSalle\u2019s 2014 budget meeting will take place at 7 p.m,&nbsp;Jan.&nbsp;9. Citizens who have questions about the document will also be able to ask them during this meeting. A second meeting will take place at 8 p.m. to pass bylaws imposing two taxes: a service tax and a second tax that takes up the \u201cfiscal space\u201d transferred by the central city of Montreal to boroughs.<\/p>\n<p>Verdun councillors will present their 2014 budget at 6 p.m., Thursday,&nbsp;Jan.&nbsp;9.<\/p>\n<p>Their resolution about an additional service tax meeting will occur at 7:30 the same evening.
