Thieves stole time at Guess Jeans<\/b><\/p>\n

Laval Police responded to an alarm signal that they received at 11:50 p.m., March 10. The officers who arrived soon after at the Guess Jean store located at 2198 Highway 13 found the front door glass broken and the accordion grill forced open. They subsequently retrieved imagery from the store\u2019s security cameras which showed that two suspects smashed the watch display unit adjacent to the cash register, and proceeded to steal some 200 watches as well as several handbags. According to Const. Franco di Genova the total take was valued at $25,000. <\/p>\n

Criminal arson on Notre Dame Street<\/b><\/p>\n

Police suspect youth were involved in a case of arson on Notre Dame Street on March 11. The suspects set fire to a temporary carport shelter then ran off. The blaze burned the temporary shelter and spread to the home\u2019s garage door. A car parked in the driveway was also damaged. The cost of the damage remains to be determined. Residents were evacuated by firefighters who arrived on the scene shortly after residents called 911. No arrests have been made at the time of the report. <\/p>\n

Armed robbery at Brasserie de Calli\u00e8res<\/b><\/p>\n

A caucasian male armed with a knife held up Brasserie de Calli\u00e8res, March 1. Police said that the suspect wore a black coat and a black hat with beige stripes. He entered via the front door and made his way to the bar, where an employee was working. The suspect allegedly demanded the money that was in the till and a safe located beneath the bar totaling, which together contained approximately $1,000. <\/p>\n

Based on clear security camera footage, the Laval Police know the suspect speaks French, has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5\u20196\u201d tall and weighs about 175 lbs. <\/p>\n

Police are asking anyone who might have information that could help them to identify to call the Laval Police confidential tip line at [450] 662-INFO (4636) or dial 911.
