In addition to its new International Vocation College, LBPSB also hosts international students in its secondary school program at a dormitory in its John Killingbeck pavilion in Pointe Claire, where it also conducts vocational pastry-making classes for international students.<\/p>\n

\u201cA second building, which houses LBPSB\u2019s international language centre in Dorval serves as our head office and base of operations,\u201d said LBPSB international program director Carol Mastuantono. \u201cThere, we handle all aspects of our exchange program and business dealings that we have created abroad, for example in partnership with schools in China, where we send some LBPSB students.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis coming year, we will be sending a group from Lindsay Place High School and Beurling Academy to China,\u201d she said, \u201cand students will come from China to study here, as well as at summer school, when students from all over the world come to us to learn English as a second language. We also have international students whom we put in all of our vocation centres like auto mechanics, who are integrated into our classes alongside local students.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe governments of Quebec and Canada are actively promoting international students coming here to get their education in Canada,\u201d Mastuantono explained. \u201cI travel quite a bit to create opportunities and partnerships. I will be making a presentation at the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi, which called us to tell us of potential partnerships as well as schools and institutions that we can connect with in different parts of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
