I was going to vote Liberal in the next federal election, but if Marcus Tabachnick runs in my riding of Pierrefonds-Dollard, I cannot. As a teacher, I and many of my colleagues were offended when he ran the Lester B. Pearson School Board. He was our biggest challenge to student success. Tabachnick actually said he “was embarrassed” by his teachers in The Gazette<\/i> and on the radio when we were working to rule to have support for our students with special needs. <\/p>\n

Our kids did well on the backs of the teachers, with no support from the LBPSB under this man. Tabachnick was a man who didn’t listen and took every opportunity to negate our needs in the media. <\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nHe was often sarcastic and disparaging to teachers at board meetings, paying us lip service when we were there to express our concerns and to state our needs, all in the hopes of getting support to increase the well being and success of our students. If success means he left the board in the black, that is not success for me. I am disappointed and quite disgusted and if he runs in Pierrefonds-Dollard my ballot will be spoiled along with the many teachers and their family members I know in our area.<\/p>\n
