After five years at the helm as director general for John Abbott College, Ginette Sheehy will be replaced by new director general John Halpin as of May.<\/p>\n

Halpin himself has spent the last five years as the dean of faculty and academic affairs at Quebec City’s Champlain College where he previously taught math. Prior to teaching, Halpin worked in the management and engineering domain for such companies as General Electric and Pratt and Whitney.<\/p>\n

“John’s vast knowledge of the CEGEP network makes him the obvious choice for the job,” explained JAC chair of the board of governors’ Guylaine Audet. “We thank Ginette Sheehy for her dedication and wish her well in all her future projects.”
