“I\u2019m on board, you\u2019re on board, we\u2019re all on board in the fight against bullying” is the theme of this year\u2019s Droit de cit\u00e9<\/i> art contest. <\/p>\n

\n
Amateur artists and emerging artists from the ages of 10-35 are encouraged to submit within the categories of visual arts, writing and performing arts. The most effective communication of the theme has the chance to win more than $5,000 worth of prizes and a chance to see the art on display.<\/p>\n

Prizes include a $500 bursary from Forum Jeunesse Laval, two iPad Air tablets courtesy of University of Montreal, a monthly bus pass for a period of one year and the artwork displayed on the side of buses during the summer months courtesy of the Laval transport commission.<\/p>\n

The visual arts division is divided into drawing, painting, sculpture and photography. The literature division has two sub categories, song and literary text composition, which includes comic strips, poems, monologues and tales. Performing arts includes drama, humour and short plays as well as multimedia that encompasses videos and short movies.<\/p>\n

The contest is divided into two categories. Amateur Artist and Emerging Artist. Both categories require the contestant reside in Laval. Artwork must be original and comply with the rules and regulations in order to be presented to the jury. The jury will be composed of representatives of Entente sur l\u2019implication citoyenne des jeunes.<\/i><\/p>\n

\nThe artwork must be submitted with a brief description, 150 words minimum and a completed entry form by April 9. <\/p>\n
