A man hospitalized for injuries has died, following a femicide in Parc Extension last Saturday, on 9th Avenue near Crémazie.

The partner of a woman murdered in St. Michel in a home on 39th Street near Paul Corbeil Street, has been arrested.

33-year-old man Lorvens Joseph has been charged with the attempted murder of a Montreal police officer in Parc Extension, allegedly stabbing the officer and trying to take the officer’s sidearm, during a wellness check in a home on 14th Avenue near Émile Journault and failing to comply with an order not to communicate or be near a woman he knew.

A 17-year-old male is in custody following a shooting in the Plateau that has put a 22-year-old man in hospital; critical from gunshot wounds that he received on Henri Julien Avenue near Carmel.

Premier Fréchette remains quiet on the trade deal worked out between Canada and the United States while two other Premiers—British Columbia and Manitoba) say that they aren’t impressed or will not comply.
