Stopping smoking slows cognitive decline

It has already been reported, quitting smoking cigarettes reduces the risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke and improved brain health.

A study followed 32,000+ adults in the United States for a quarter-century, looking the lives of former smokers regarding post-cessation weight changes and cognitive health.

Researchers discovered a link between smoking cessation and a lower risk of developing dementia and even a lower rate of cognitive decline.
