Following the passing last week of Hélène Leduc, the Baie d’Urfé SAQ clerk who was shot in the neck and left as a quadriplegic after an attempted robbery in 2010, Sun Youth is reactivating its $20,000 reward for information that would lead to the arrest of the three alleged suspects for Leduc’s murder.

Although three suspects were previously arrested by police, insufficient evidence was found in the suspects’ culpability. Sun Youth had previously offered the reward money for information regarding Leduc’s shooting.

Because it was confirmed that Leduc’s passing last week was a direct result from the injuries sustained in October 2010 while she was at work, the reward was reinstated.

“We hope someone will come forward with information,” Executive vice-president of Sun Youth Sid Stevens told The Suburban. “Since 1991, we have participated in 92 cases and helped solve 25 so our success rate is quite good.

“The reward will be effective immediately and has been expanded for another six months until July 22,” Stevens said.

If you have information on the tragic murder of Hélène Leduc that took place on Oct. 18, 2010, contact Sun Youth at [514] 842-6822 or Info-Crime at [514] 393-1133.
