The Women’s Entrepreneurial Exchange (We2) ushered in the festive season with their annual holiday fair on Dec. 10, where even men were invited to scope out a large selection of interesting products from healthy juicing to table decor for the holidays.

The fair, as always, held a food drive for the West Island Assistance Fund, where a non-perishable item got you a raffle ticket to win a multitude of prizes.

According to Pointe Claire resident, Sarena Miller, founder of We2, the women’s networking group is entering its seventh year of operation and welcomes a continued flood of participants who want to connect with like-minded people.

We2 with most of its events held on the West Island caters to professional women, entrepreneurs and artists alike, with representatives from charities and local not-for-profit organizations. Each month the women meet for a face to face gathering often in the early hours of the morning to benefit from the various events, speakers and programming offered by We2.

“It is the soul of We2 that makes it so special.” Miller said during her speech at the holiday fair at the Beaconsfield Golf Club, “The Women of We2 encourage each other to reach new levels of growth, yet it goes beyond business. Deep friendships bloom. We are there for the great achievements and successes, but also for those times when we need a helping hand, perhaps facing business or health challenge.”

Miller believes face to face meetings help build relationships, creating ongoing business and referrals for We2 members, yet the We2 reach goes beyond the immediate group.

“We have members being found through our We2 website and weekly newsletter and they are getting business calls and contracts from large companies, even universities”
