Terranova’s Lise Lapointe wins Global Active Entrepreneur Award

Réseau des Femmes d’affaires du Québec awarded Terranova’s president Lise Lapointe global active entrepreneur award on Nov. 5, at a gala evening held at Montréal’s Palais des Congress.

Lise Lapointe who is a world leader in information security awareness acknowledged the contributions of her team. Terranova has garnered the confidence of major international companies. With 70 per cent of the company’s sales revenues earned outside the country, Terranova’s information security awareness solution has provided millions of employees all over the world with the knowledge they need.

According to Lapointe in a recent podcast interview sponsored by Bell and Première en affaires, she began her career when her brother was working at IBM. At 24 years old, holding a Bachelor of Education, her brother approached her to develop a course to teach people how to use computers.

“I taught that course for six months,” Lapointe explained, “then we went on to develop an accounting system for these computers since it did not exist. That was really where I started.”

Terranova offers solutions in over 20 languages enabling it to train people around the world.
