West Island HSSC offers flu vaccines until Dec. 20

The approach of the colder weather means the onset of flu and as a way of prevention, the West Island Health and Social Services Centre (HSSC) is offering vaccinations throughout the territory until Saturday, Dec. 20.

The HSSC is offering free flu vaccinations for residents 60 years or over, pregnant women, children less than two-years-old but older than six months, healthcare employees and patients with a chronic illness.

Vaccinations will be conducted from Tuesday to Friday between 12:30-7:30 p.m. and every Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Reservations are not required but a Medicare card needs to be presented prior to receiving the vaccine.

Vaccination locations include the Bob Birnie Arena in Pointe Claire, the Civic Centre in Dollard des Ormeaux and the Herb Linder Annex in Beaconsfield.
