For the second year in a row the Move for Red Cross fundraiser marathon will be held on Saturday, September 13, on the site of the nature center located at 901 Parc Ave.
Solo, in a group, as a family or with friends or work colleagues the Red Cross invites walkers runner and cyclists to jump on one of the three courses of either 5, 10 or 25 km. Participants must register by going to the website bougepourlacroixrouge.ca (Laval campaign).
Participants must raise a minimum of $100.00 for those over 15 years of age and a minimum of $50.00 for those under 15.
This year’s spokes person for the Laval event will be ultradistance triathlete, ultrarunner and runner, IUF World Cup in 2012, Yves Beauchamps.
Paws for Hope
If you are busy on September 13 or just really energetic, also taking place at the nature center, the Canadian Cancer Society is a fundraising walk for everyone including pets called. Paws for Hope will take place on September 14, from 9: 30-10:30 a.m., rain or shine.
Join one of the most original fundraising events with your four legged friend and walk a few kilometres to benefit cancer.
It’s one of the most original fundraising events to fight against cancer and a fun activity for both young and old alike.
