Global Electric Electronic Processing (GEEP) will be holding its open house on Thursday, June 19, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

This is the first such event since the organization moved to Laval from Dorval in April 2012.

The plant is capable of recycling 15 million pounds of electronic assets per year in the new 7,154 square-metre (77,000 square foot) facility at 2995 Le Corbusier.

It also has transportation, warehousing and refurbishing services in addition to a retail outlet that sells refurbished computers and electronics onsite and online.

The organization will be offering tours of the centre all day.

They’re also planning to partner with the Gagnon Group to shred confidential documents and wipe computer hard drives clean of sensitive material from 8 a.m. until noon. Anyone who takes advantage of the service will be eligible for a draw of $50 coupons that can be used in the Microsys retail outlet.
