More than 250 guests attended the newest fundraising event put on by the West Island Palliative Care residence on May 28, at the Chateau Vaudreuil Pavillion.

The pajama party to honor the patients was sponsored by Chateau Vaudreuil, Dormez-Vous, AVON, Italvine and Bijouterie Robert Richer. The event raised close to $10,000.

Several kiosks offered products and services, like a quick massage, were tailored to women. During the cocktail hour there was wine and hors d’œuvres served.

Inspirational speeches specifically addressed to women were given by Ellie Ballentine, mindset mentor, and Yolande James former provincial MNA. The theme of the speeches was one that addressed the many important roles women play and the challenges they face, especially as caregivers.

The live hip-hop performance by the Brat Pack was energetic and had the whole room up dancing.
