As a way to reduce, reuse and recycle, the city of Dorval is holding its annual Community Treasure Hunt on Saturday, May 3 beginning at 9 a.m.

The city is “encouraging residents to place their unwanted yet functioning and useful items curbside by 9 a.m. on that day for free pickup by other members of the community,” explained city spokesperson Sébastien Gauthier. “It is a garage sale without permits and price tags as all items are given away.”

Residents with good working bicycles who want to donate them should wait for the city’s Environment Day taking place two weeks later where SOS Vélo and Club Vélo Dorval will provide a kiosk for just that purpose.

At the end of the day on May 3, homeowners are asked to collect any untaken goods from the side of the road. “If you so choose, you may place them by the curb again for pickup by the City crews during Spring Cleaning Week, May 5-9,” explained Gauthier.
