Transport Quebec announced last week that it will start rebuilding the bridge on Pie-IX (Highway 125) that spans St. Martin and Lite Boulevards. The work will continue until mid-September.

During that time, it will demolish and rebuild the second part of the bridge. The first part was done last year. Northbound lanes on Highway 125 North via Lite Boulevard will be closed to traffic from April 11 to mid-September.

Several additional road closures are expected throughout the summer construction period. Schedules are available in the Montreal Mobility section of the www.Québec511.info website.

Some important closures include:

• Full closure of Highway 125 south at the Highway 440 intersection on Tuesday, April 8 to Wednesday, April 9, from 11 p.m.-5 a.m.

• Full closure of Highway 125 north at St. Martin throughout the nights of Friday to Saturday from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Thereafter, there will be only one lane open until 5 a.m., April 14.

• Full closure at the St. Martin access towards Highway 125 north for the whole weekend from midnight on Friday, April 11, to Monday morning, April 14, at 5 a.m.

Transport Quebec has plans for more than 2,000 construction projects between now and the end of the year.
