BREAKING NEWS: Earl Jones to be released today

By Kevin Woodhouse
Victims of fraudulent West Island businessman Earl Jones are being informed that the man who stole the life savings of more than 100 victims, many of them widows, will be released from jail Thursday afternoon, March 20.
Earl Jones Victims Committee member Joey Davis found out via a telephone call from Corrections Canada that the convicted Ponzi-scheme operator will  be a free man and will not be required to stay in a halfway house.
Davis said that he was informed that Jones “will be staying in the greater Montreal area” but that he was not told of any other details, other than that Jones will have to check in with a parole officer until 2021.
