In order to pour concrete on the Cartier overpass, Transport Quebec plans to shut down several lanes on Highway 15 this coming weekend.

The work will be conducted overnight Oct. 25 and 26. Transport Quebec warned that weather conditions and “operational constraints” could cause the lane closure to be deferred to the following day.

Northbound traffic along Highway 15 between Henri Bourassa in Montreal and Cartier in Laval will be restricted to one lane, from 1 a.m.-7 a.m. Southbound motorists will find only one lane open between St. Martin and Cartier from midnight to 6 a.m. The Highway 15 entrance at Cartier will be completely closed from midnight to 7 a.m.

The Cartier overpass itself, spanning Highway 15, will be completely closed to traffic from midnight to 7 a.m. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists during the closures.

Transport Quebec also plans to post orange signs to warn drivers that they intend to use photo radar devices to enforce the reduced speed limit in the construction zone.

More information and details of Transport Quebec’s construction schedule are available in the Mobilité Montréal section of the quebec511.info web site.
