There were no major injuries in a strange car accident that occurred Monday morning in Sainte Anne de Bellevue when a driver turned right onto another street and came face to face with an asphalt company’s truck parked with its ramp exposed.
The car, while only going at about 5 km/h, veered up over the ramp and onto its side where the the driver and two passengers, all female senior citizens, had to be rescued.
EMTs were able to help the elderly women on site as one had felt minor shock from the incident.
Officers on the scene told The Suburban that trucks that carry heavy equipment should close up the trailer ramps once the vehicles have been put to their intended use.
