Laval’s only hop grower, Domaine Brune Houblonde, a Laval-based farming operation specializing in the culture of hops for the beer industry, is participating in the launch of a beer made from its 2012 harvest.

Domaine Brune Houblonde is part of the Agropole, which promotes locally-grown products and allows the company to increase its visibility within the Quebec business community.

Laval residents will be able to taste this local brew, available in 750 ml bottles and distributed via a variety of retailers throughout the city. A complete list is available at: www.brunehoublonde.com.

In total, 2,000 litres of beer were brewed this past May.

The young agricultural farm cultivates four varieties of hops for beer production. It operates on land obtained with the help of Laval Technopole, and is a predominant contributor to Laval’s economic development.
